Ovia
Ovia is a one man project based in Copenhagen.
Ovia’s main focus is to compose soundscapes with a very organic feel to it’s sonic journeys for the listener. His work is influenced by artists like Aphex Twin, Biosphere, opiate and the like.
In an attempt to evolve the genre of electronica, he’s turned focus away from the very digital sound, commonly asscociated with this type of music and instead build a unique sound library from hundreds of strange and wonderful sounds recorded with his minidisc recorder.
Even though the sounds often resemble the clicking glitch sound commonly used in electronica, Ovia’s sounds are mostly recorded in the great outdoors and thus have a very organic feel to them.
In other words, the glitches of nature.
